Home School Agreement

School will:

  • Care for your child’s safety and well-being

  • Encourage your child to do his/her best at all times

  • Contact parents if there is a problem with punctuality, behaviour or attendance

  • Encourage your child to take care of their surroundings and other people.

  • Inform parents about your child’s progress

  • Provide a balanced curriculum to meet the individual needs of your child

  • Have high expectations of your child for their work and behaviour

  • Organise appropriate homework

  • Support your child in every way if they have Special Educational Needs

  • Have an ‘open door’ policy where parents and members of our school community feel welcome and valued.

Parents/carers will:

  • Make sure that my child comes to school every day on time

  • Telephone school in the morning if they are absent

  • Inform school about any concerns or problems that might affect my child’s work or behaviour

  • Support my child with their home learning especially reading

  • Attend Parent/Teacher meeting which are held once a term to discuss my child’s progress

  • Support the school’s Positive Behaviour Policy and guidelines

  • Make sure my child does not wear jewellery at school which is unsafe for PE

  • Get to know about my child’s life at school.
