1- Listen to the story of Jack and the Beanstalk -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5rxfLRgXRE
Choose your favourite part of the story and draw a picture to show it. Can you write a sentence about your picture?
2 - Make a seed packet out of paper for some magic beans. Put brightly coloured pictures of beans on the front and write what's inside, then see if you can write some instructions on the back for how to grow them. Where do they need to be planted? What do they need to grow? How long will they take to grow? What will your beans grow in to?
3 - Listen to the daily reception and blending phonic sessions at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCP_FbjYUP_UtldV2K_-niWw
Have a go at using your robot arms to sound out and blend these words: mat, dog, got, tag, cog, sack, cat, map
4 - play this subtraction game to 10- https://www.topmarks.co.uk/subtraction/subtraction-to-10 . Talk about what subtract means and what happens to an amount when we take something away. You could use some objects to help you practically work out the answers to the questions in the game. Have your child count out the right amount of objects and see if they can take the right amount away, then count how many is left.
Don't forget to also access the TT rockstars maths website with your username and password that I sent you on class dojo's to practice other maths work, too!
