Year 5/6 Home Learning 6th April
It's important to keep our maths skills up to date and especially our times table skills.
Try this new programme called Tables Logik. Have a go,it's fun.
Some year 6 children have been asking for more maths, so try this. You can access this website which has a weekly set of lessons for year 5 and 6 with an accompanying video to show you how to do it. You can just write the answers on paper, you don't need to print it off.
No one has ever lived through a pandemic like we are today. In the future, this will become history for future generations to learn about. So for literacy, I would like you to keep a diary. In it, describe the things that are happening in your life and most importantly write how you feel. Write how your life is different to your normal life. For example, not coming to school. How do you feel about that? Do you miss your friends? You can decorate your page each day by drawing a picture of something you have written about.
Also I would like you to keep practising your spellings. Here are 10 words for this week from the Y5/6 spellings list. Practise all week and ask an adult to test you on Friday. Let me know your score on dojos.
Great news! The sun has started to shine more now and Springtime is here. Why not create some springtime animals using pom poms? Maybe you can create a family of animals.
Remember to keep in touch via dojos. Send us some pictures of the work you do. 😊
